Every traveller knows there is nothing worse than being cooped up in a plane’s cabin as it waits to get the green light from air traffic control to take off. Sometimes you are fortunate enough to endure a flight delay for only 20 minutes. Other times, you are forced to deal with it for hours, as is the case for these passengers.
Well, for one set of passengers on a flight to New Orleans, the tedium of waiting was made a bit more bearable after elderly barbershop quartet, Port City Sound, gave an impromptu performance of The Drifters’ classic Under the Boardwalk.
The talented group were discovered by flight attendant Kari Mann, who had got chatting to guests having to sit out a five-hour wait in their aircraft at Indianapolis International Airport. After that the entire mood changed and there were no complaints for the entire duration of the delay.
